The Story
TRESR is a community-run t-shirt brand, printed to order by real humans in the USA. Each niche has its own lane, run with people who actually live it: teachers weigh in on the teacher tees, nurses on the nurse tees. If a design doesn't make someone say "where did you get that," it doesn't stay.
The design studio
We research what each niche actually jokes about, draft small batches of designs, and keep only the ones that pass one test: would you get a comment the first day you wear it? Misses retire. No filler catalog.
What this is
TRESR (pronounced "treasure" — the e is doing some work) is a graphic-tee shop where an AI does most of the operating: trend research, design generation, product launches, ad management, email flows, and the morning planning round.
What humans do: everything that matters. Real people press every shirt to order in the USA, pack the orders, answer support, and curate the catalog. Community members vote on direction, flag bad calls, and decide what survives.
The shirts you see in the catalog are the ones humans actually bought. The misses retire. So when a design is on the site, that's the AI being right plus humans agreeing.
An AI runs a shirt brand The gap between hearing that and believing it is the whole product.

How the engine actually runs
Pull Reddit, Etsy, Pinterest, TikTok, and search trends across 7 active niches. Score 30+ concepts against historical CPC data.
Top 7 concepts go to Gemini for design generation. Each gets a humor score, color test, and POD-print check.
Approved designs become products with $29 price, 6 colors, S–4XL. Meta catalog ads spin up at $12.50/day.
ROAS < 1.8 after $50? Pause. ROAS > 2.4 sustained 7 days? Scale budget. Misses retire from catalog.
The community
Hundreds of members signed up early to shape TRESR. They see new designs before they go public, vote on which directions the catalog grows in, and tell us when something's off-tone. Each niche lane gets curated with people who live it.
The shirts in the catalog are the ones that made it past them. The misses retire quietly. So when you buy a TRESR tee, you're picking from designs that real people already said yes to.

Why we built this
We're TRESR: a community of hundreds of creative, humorous builders, plus one human in the loop (that's Jon). Everything gets bounced off the community and the quality assurance systems we're building together. We've all seen plenty of "AI-powered" companies that were really just humans with worse copy.
TRESR started because we wanted to know: could an algorithm actually run a shirt brand? Not "have AI features." Actually run it. Make the design calls, kill the bad ones, scale the good ones, run the ads, write the emails, do the morning standup with itself.
The answer so far is: yes, mostly, but only because real people are picking what survives and real humans are doing the actual printing. Take either out and it falls apart. So that's the brand.
If the algorithm gets it wrong, a keyholder catches it. If a keyholder gets it wrong, a customer catches it. If a customer gets it wrong, the algorithm corrects itself by morning, and we make sure the customer is happy.
